What If … Return To Owner
While our shelters and rescue groups are overwhelmed with homeless animals, sadly many of the pets that enter into the rescue system are in fact beloved pets that are lost!
What can and is being done to find lost pets, locate their rightful owners. Shelter hold times for strays that are not able to be reunited quickly by a tag or microchip can quickly become available to be adopted or even pulled by a rescue group near or far to find them a new home. Not much time for an owner to locate and be reunited with their pet, especially if the pet is found or turned in to a shelter outside of their general area.
RETURN TO OWNER is a major solution to the shelter and rescue population problem.
Our Monday Microchip Miracles blog focuses on the role that microchips have played in helping to reunite lost pets with their owners after days, weeks and even years! So what about all the other pets that are not microchipped, or whose microchip isn’t registered and able to be traced back to their owner?
We know that every day a countless number of pets go missing. This blog will share stories of what can be done to help reunite more of those lost pets more quickly and successfully by sharing programs and efforts that are and can help!
Stay tuned for stories about ways Return to Owner can and is working!
